Máy Khoa Học là một trạm chế tạo Science  used to prototype tier 1 Science items, unlocking the items' crafting recipes so the player can craft them at any time with the materials required. Additionally, the player will regain 15 Sanity whenever the player prototypes an item.

Trivia

• In the early beta of Don't Starve, the game used a "Research points" system instead of prototyping. When Wilson examines the Science Machine, he states that "It breaks down items into their scientific components", which is a leftover from when the game still used research points.
• The main part of the machine bears resemblance to the weighted storage cubes in Valve's Portal series.
• The Science Machine appears at the top of the screen when the game autosaves.
